Dr. Park graduated from UT Health Houston School of Dentistry in 2008 and spent her first three years in a high-volume corporate practice — exactly the kind of dentistry she didn't want to do for the next thirty.

In 2011 she opened Clarity Dental Studio above a coffee shop on South Lamar with a single chair and a borrowed autoclave. The bet was simple: build the kind of practice she'd send her own mother to. Slow, gentle, transparent on price, and ruthlessly competent on craft.

Fourteen years later, Clarity sees over 3,200 active patients across two operatories, with a hand-picked team of three associate DDS, four hygienists, and an in-house ceramics lab. Do you take my insurance?

We're in-network with Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Guardian, Humana, and United Healthcare. We also process out-of-network claims for almost any PPO — usually you just pay the difference, not the whole bill. Call us with your member ID and we'll quote the exact patient portion in about two minutes.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes — we partner with CareCredit and Lending Club for 0% APR financing up to 24 months on treatment plans over $1,000. For smaller balances, we offer a simple in-house payment plan: 3 monthly installments, no credit check, no interest. We never charge prepayment fees.

Is sedation safe? Will I be unconscious?

Sedation in our office is delivered by certified DDS with continuous vitals monitoring — same protocol as a hospital outpatient suite. Most patients use either nitrous (laughing gas, fully awake, no recovery time) or oral sedation (deeply relaxed, still responsive, drowsy for a few hours after). True IV sedation is reserved for major surgical days and requires a chaperone home. We'll walk you through every option at consultation.

Do you see kids? What age can my child come?

We see kids age 3 and up for routine cleanings, exams, and basic restorative work. Two of our hygienists are pediatric-certified and our office has a dedicated kids' wall TV plus prize drawer. For complex pediatric work — full sedation in toddlers, severe behavioral cases, infant frenectomies — we coordinate referrals to a trusted pediatric specialist down the road.

What if I have a dental emergency?

Call (555) 792-4030 — our line is monitored 24/7. During business hours, we hold same-day emergency slots open and can almost always see you the same day if you call before noon. After hours, our voicemail forwards to the on-call DDS who will return the call within 30 minutes for true emergencies (knocked-out tooth, severe pain, facial swelling).

How long is the wait for a new patient appointment?

Currently averaging 3 business days for a new-patient cleaning + exam. For consultations on cosmetic work (Invisalign, veneers, implants) we usually get you scheduled within a week. Emergencies get same-day priority and bump non-urgent cleaning slots.

What's actually included in the "free new patient exam"?

Comprehensive oral exam by Dr. Park, full set of digital X-rays (bitewings + panoramic), oral cancer screening, periodontal probing, and a detailed treatment plan with itemized cost estimates. The cleaning itself is billed to insurance or $89 cash if you don't have coverage. There's no obligation to schedule any further work.
