◆ Why this build, for solar installers
Solar buyers need three questions answered before they call: what will it cost, what will I save, and how do I know you won't disappear after install.
The solar buying journey takes 3–6 weeks and involves 4–6 competing quotes. The company that wins isn't necessarily the cheapest — it's the one whose website made the buyer feel most informed and most confident. Your website has to do 80% of the selling before any salesperson gets involved.
Three ways solar sites lose the lead: a "get a free quote" CTA without any price context (the buyer doesn't know if they're talking to a $15K or $35K installer), no financing terms visible, no completed project proof.
What this build does differently
- ROI savings calculator: Enter your monthly electric bill → get estimated annual savings, payback period, and 25-year value. The single highest-converting element on any solar website — it makes the ROI visceral before the sales call.
- Financing options section: Not just "we offer financing" — specific terms: 0% APR 18 months, $0 down, monthly payment anchored to current electric bill. "Your new payment: $148/mo vs. current bill: $225/mo." Shows the buyer they're already cash-flow positive.
- Completed install portfolio: Real rooftops with system size (kW), annual production, and client savings per year. Makes the claim concrete and verifiable.
- Certification wall: NABCEP certification, Tesla Powerwall installer status, electrical contractor license — displayed in a grid with verification links. High-trust sale requires high-trust proof.
- 25-year production monitoring section: Explains the monitoring app, the production guarantee, and the warranty tiers — addresses the "what happens after install" objection directly.
What we deliberately leave out
- A "free energy audit" as the only CTA — it creates a meeting commitment before the buyer is ready. The calculator qualifies them first.
- Federal tax credit information in the hero — too much detail too early. It's in the financing section where it's decision-relevant.
How the same pattern adapts to your operation
The ROI-calculator-first structure works anywhere the purchase has a quantifiable return — lawn care (annual cost vs. DIY), HVAC (system efficiency ROI), ecommerce (cart value uplift). Show the math before the pitch.
